It is also in Tarangire that you can find the highest concentration of elephants in the whole country. You will have the opportunity to observe their behaviours and interactions between families.

So take this opportunity to look out for lions, cheetahs, leopards, and hyenas. Many other smaller animals reside here too, not to mention over 500 species of birds.

And it's also one of the few places in the whole continent where you can spot the Black Rhino. The crater has a river, several swamps, a lake full of flamingos, a forest, and open plains. Due to the rich mineral content of the volcanic soil, the elephants found there are the largest in the world!
